Do you use a Mac, Linux or Windows machine?

My internet marketing coach, Alex Jeffreys, has briefly mentioned his own technical difficulties to his students. Each operating system has its own supporters and fans. They also have their own online communities!

As the case may be, my SO (Dave Phillips) is BIG, in Linux. Since it was HE, who resolved my technical problems, he left a post.

He called me to let me know that ‘I’ {my problem, the “Un-Cheer” part}

was now, all over the Web. My issues were obviously not appreciated by some, by the looks of the comments. If you have any interest in the efforts made to save my laptop, you can check out the post,entitled “Holiday Cheer, Holiday Un-Cheer - Part 1, at http://www.linuxjournal.com.

Not quite what I had in mind as internet exposure.

Last month’s fiasco with my computer made it evident that compatibility needs to be considered as we discover new and improved software and program tools. It would be a good idea to clarify this, if we are offerring or recommending software for download. It is a valuable bit of information to add, that would save some of us hours of aggravation and money.

I currently am unable to use my digital phone line because the service is not compatible with the new 64-bit machine.

From Now On: I’ll be keeping the focus on marketing efforts and I’ll be busy on Twitter. Join me there!

Picture an uphill climb where you lose your footing and slide backward. This is the analogy for the past three weeks on my internet marketing trek. Men typically swear, throw or break things when angry or frustrated {so, I’ve heard}. Women cry. I’ve sobbed for hours and swore as well, UNTIL I realized that I will never fall to the bottom…

I Have Learned Too Much…and there are many of you out there to help me regain my foothold.

Have you heard of the ‘BSOD’? The ‘Blue Screen of Death’ shuts down your operating system. This can be caused by a virus or a bad hard drive. If it is caused by a virus, you may be able to get back up and running with an operating system fix or registry fix. If this doesn’t work, you can do a total re-install of the operating system and drivers. Hopefully, you have all of your files backed-up currently.

I had all of files backed-up except my email. Unfortunately, some of my account IDs and password confirmations were there and nowhere else. MY BAD.

If your PC does not have the capacity for the work you are doing, you can wear out the hard drive and require component replacement. {Not necessarily a new computer, Sister}

I was able to get online using a ‘live’ UBUNTU disc, but it didn’t have the capacity for videos, etc. and involved learning a little about a different operating system.

I messed up my email on this site and could not get my log on info. When I found my handwritten notes, I’d written it down in upper case instead of lower case {now I really feel STUPID}

“Yes, Virginia. There is a Santa Claus” He came in jeans [SO] with a new Vista desktop [even tho' he is a die-hard Linux user] AND a new hard drive and memory for the laptop!

So, even though I still have more software to install and my digital phone line is not compatible with my new 64bit machine, I’m saying..

“GET UP, TRINITY! GET UP! - [The Matrix]

There are blogs to visit, links to create and traffic to generate and whether or not I missed the $1000 competition, there are fewer than 100 on Dean Holland and Garry Parke’s blog rolls, so I might still be in the top quarter of the 500 who signed up for Alex Jeffrey’s Coaching program.

I’ll be back,

Ivy Maria

THAT is true knowledge.

My SO (significant other) says he wouldn’t pay attention to anyone whose name sounds so much like ‘confusion’, but both the quote and the ‘confusion’ apply when beginning your adventure into cyberspace.

One year ago, this is what I knew:

- I couldn’t continue in my job without being on medication and suffering permanent physical damage.

- The internet is the new frontier and will become THE medium for communication, information and commerce.

- I needed a new direction, an online presence, and CASH.

I also knew quite a few other things and you might find out more if you visit me again. For now I’ll leave it at that.

What I didn’t know that I didn’t know:

Domain names; hosting; Keywords; SEO; traffic generation; linking; blogs; forums; autoresponders; social networking; FTP; niche marketing; affiliates; pay-per-click; tracking software; scams; list building; …

There are a million other things [but I still don't know that I don't know them]

But I AM HERE NOW! Thanks to Alex Jeffreys and his students, I can now join you in exploring these territories and share my experiences with you!

We can learn new things, have some fun, meet some fascinating people, and make some money!

I won’t take you elsewhere at this point, but look forward to new links, free ebooks and downloads coming soon.

My Profit Pulling Platform for Alex’s free ebook is up at www.makingmoneywithalex.com

For now I’m…

Going with the flow,
